Each weekend at Motion you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with exciting, contemporary worship music and a practical, relevant message. You’ll also find a printed outline for notes in your worship guide that will help you make the most of each week’s teaching. You will look forward to each Sunday.  Children are well-cared for in a loving and fun-filled children’s ministry service in our nursery, toddler, preschool, and elementary environments.  It’s a ministry that is clean, safe, fun, and helps them grasp the Bible on their level.

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for awhile—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.

If you want a more personalized first time experience, we got you covered.  You can visit the Plan Your Visit page and let us know you are coming.  By planning your visit, we will make sure a member of our team connects with you prior to your visit, they will make sure you have a great parking space, meet you at the door, help you get your kids checked in (in advance, without waiting!), and they will answer any questions you have while showing you around.  They are there to make sure you get the inside scoop on everything you want to know and make sure you get to connect with our pastors.

You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business casual at our Weekend Services. Come in what is comfortable for you, because at Motion it is not about what you look like or what you wear.

Motion is located on the northwest side of Lexington, just off of KY-4 (New Circle).  In 2012, we started Motion Church in a renovated warehouse just off Leestown Road. Over the years, this warehouse has been expanded and modernized to make it a great place for ministry.

Our address is 133 Trade Street, Lexington, KY 40511.  People who regularly attend Motion Church live everywhere from down the street in Masterson Station neighborhood, across town in Nicholasville, from surrounding areas like Frankfort, Paris, and Winchester, Wilmore and more.

At Motion, your children are a top priority. Our children’s ministry areas are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. Messages in the main auditorium are designed for 6th grade to adults and Motion Kids is designed with environments for 6 weeks to 5th grade.  We offer a dynamic children’s ministry as well as life-changing ministry to students from 6th - 12th graders called Velocity.  
If you are a new mom, you are welcome to bring your baby into the main auditorium.  We section an area in the back to make it convenient for you if you need to get up during the service.  We also have a Mother’s Room available with couches, snacks, changing table, and a live feed of the service.

There are many ways to get involved.  Connect Groups are a great way to build relationships with others and develop life-giving relationships to help you grow.  Our groups meet in semesters: winter/spring, summer, and fall.  New Connect Groups begin all the time, so jump into one yourself.

Our desire is to see you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. Our church’s mission is to help you move from where you are to where God wants you to be.  We offer the tools necessary to make this happen in your life.  From our weekend services designed to help you know God personally, to groups where you can develop the relationships to lead you to a life of freedom, to our Next Steps process that empowers you to find the relationships and responsibility to live a purposeful life, to our Dream Team that gives you opportunities to serve in our church, community, country, and on a global scale we believe that you will have plenty of opportunities to grow.

We believe that if you give 1 year to stepping into every opportunity that Motion offers you, you will grow tremendously in your faith.  We guarantee it.

Connect groups are an important part of Motion Church—in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced our groups. Groups allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God. As Motion continues to grow, groups allow us to “stay small” and connected.
