Motion Church exists to help people move from where they are to where God wants them to be. That looks like knowing God personally, finding freedom from your yesterdays, discovering purpose for your today, and making a difference in the world around you. At Motion, our doors are wide open to people from all backgrounds, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey. What people usually notice first about us is the life-giving, welcoming atmosphere.

Our goal is to infuse destiny and God’s love into people and families through engaging, powerful worship experiences that offer biblical truth in relevant and practical ways and then connect them in life-giving relationships and purposeful opportunities to make a difference. Pastor Jason and Erin Doran met when they were just 14 years old living in Cartersville, GA. Now they have spent most of their lives together.  Ministry has always been a part of who they are—from speaking in youth groups as teenagers to starting and pastoring churches as adults.  

We are a church that bases everything we believe on the Scriptures. We love the Bible and uphold it as our standard for all life and practice in the church.

Finding a church to call home is difficult, but we want to make it easier for you.  A lot of amazing churches exist around our region and we all are a little (or a lot) different.  We want you to have a good idea of what to expect from us to make your search for home as easy as it can be.

Our kids ministry is designed for kids ages 6 weeks through 5th grade to come and experience the love of Jesus. We believe that children are not the church of tomorrow, but the church of today. We partner with parents to help kids connect with God by building lasting relationships, being silly and having fun together, and connecting with them in a language they understand.

Velocity is the student ministry of Motion Church. We are dedicated to providing a place for students (grades 6-12) to connect with God, with other students, and with leaders that are dedicated to seeing students grow closer to Jesus. It’s a fun and purposeful ministry to see students move from where they are to where God wants them to be.
